London Ontario Poker Tournaments

Posted on

This is the casino's third Blue Water Classic Poker Tournament and follows the highly successful Ultimate Poker Challenge held last September which attracted players from across North America. The top three prizes in that event were won by players from Belleville, London and Corunna Ontario. Players must be 19 years of age or older. The LA Poker Classic is a series of tournaments part of the World Poker Tour which is hosted at the Commerce Casino, the largest card room in North America with 160 poker tables. There is just as much cash action there as there is tournament action. The LAPC runs from Wednesday January 19 through to Sunday February 27. Ontario has a total of 52 poker tables spread across 11 poker rooms. You can play a number of poker games, including Limit Holdem, No Limit Holdem, NL Texas Hold'em, 7 Card Stud, Omaha, Tournaments, Spread Limit Hold 'em, No Limit Texas Hold'em, Limit Texas Hold’em. We are preparing for a modified Phase 4 resumption of competition during the 2020-21 season that will involve regional games and tournaments beginning April 1, 2021. Ontario Basketball remains optimistic that we will be able to field competition this season and do not want this postponement to be a barrier to continued development.

Ontario Poker Information

Ontario is the most attractive location for poker players in Canada. With more poker venues per square kilometer than any other province, live poker is devoured and relished throughout the region. Although rural locations are served by good venues, there is a higher concentration of poker rooms in southern Ontario, especially near the U.S. border. In total, Ontario boasts more than 15 land-based poker rooms. Ontario’s poker tournaments are very juicy, with events with buy-ins as high as $100 (plus rebuys) taking place on a daily basis. Another attraction is fully legal online poker to all Canadian citizens.
